With almost two decades of experience writing about cars and the car industry, Michael Taylor's work is now published regularly in more than 20 countries.

After establishing himself as one of the foremost motoring journalists in Australia, he he moved to Modena, Italy in 2006. Beginning his working career on The Chronicle regional daily newspaper in Toowoomba, Australia, he progressed through The Courier-Mail in Brisbane to win awards for road tests and feature stories with the Royal Automobile Club of Australia's magazine, The Road Ahead.

He subsequently worked as motoring editor on The Daily Telegraph, and has held editorships at both 4X4 Australia and Motor magazines.

He still writes for both Australian publications, but his work is also syndicated through Haymarket's Autocar magazine and its licensed international outlets.

He also contributes to AutoWeek magazine in the US, Japan's Engine magazine, United Arab Emirates' National newspaper, in Australia and in the US. His work has also been translated and sold into Brazil, The Netherlands, France, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Russia, Spain, China, Turkey and Sweden.
