|(Chief Columnist, Auto Express. Regular contributor to BBC TV and Radio, ITV, Sky News and other outlets in the UK and overseas).|
London-born Rutherford has been writing and broadcasting about cars for 30 years. His words and pictures have appeared in most of the UK's national newspapers, and he has served time as Motoring Editor on three of them.
Mike has driven thousands of test cars in scores of countries on every continent, presented over 1,000 national/international radio programmes, as well as hosting countless car programmes on TV. For the last quarter of a century he's been a regular contributor on the BBC and other leading stations, in addition to doing occasional pieces for American broadcasters.
Apart from his WCOTY duties, Mike Rutherford's greatest claims to fame are that he is one of the founding fathers of Auto Express (Britain's biggest selling weekly car mag) which he helped establish and launch in 1988; he has interviewed the last five British Prime Ministers about motoring matters; and he's one of the few journalists in the world to have driven a Formula One car.
Mike Rutherford also serves as a trustee for the MarcusRutherfordFoundation.com.
