October 4 - December 7th: Jurors drive, evaluate, write and talk about the WCOTY eligible vehicles in their respective outlets.

December 8th: First round of voting. Jurors give their "Top Ten" choices directly to the international accounting firm of KPMG.

December 15th - January 20th: Jury members focus their evaluations on the "Top Ten" short listed vehicles.

January 3rd: "Top Ten" short list announced to media and manufacturers.

January 20th: Second round of voting using a specific ballot. Jury members submit ballots directly to KPMG.

February 1st: "Top Three" contenders announced to media and manufacturers.

February 16th: Press conference - World Car announced.
